Under the clear blue skies and the heat of the late summer sun on Saturday, Sept. 21 the Perth Pathway of Heroes motorcycle parade rumbled through town.
More than 400 bikes made the trip – some from across the province – to honour veterans, including passing by four senior living homes in town.
The Perth-Upon-Tay Royal Canadian Legion hosted the event where the bikers ended their path across town.
Veterans’ banners have been erected – 365 this year, up from 341 last year – and will remain flying until Remembrance Day. These banners display local veterans and are sponsored by their families.
Don’t forget to check out the Hall of Remembrance at the legion, 26 Beckwith St. E.
And soon, the Great War Memorial Hospital will show its display of crocheted poppies – a sight to behold as it drapes down the front of the building.
