On Tuesday, Sept 14th, the Almonte Community Coordinators (The Hub/Rebound) will host an all-candidates meeting in Almonte at the Civitan Hall (500 Almonte Street). It will be a live in-person event as well as being live-streamed as a Zoom session online. It’s scheduled to start at 7:00 pm and the doors to the hall will open at 6:45 pm.

Despite ongoing COVID restrictions, local residents will have the opportunity to hear the federal candidates for Lanark Frontenac Kingston speak on local issues.

All 6 candidates have confirmed their participation: Florian Bors (PPC), Michelle Foxton (Liberal), Steve Garrison (NDP), Blake Hamilton (Rhinoceros), Calvin Neufeld (Green), and Scott Reid (Conservative).

This will be an information evening, not a debate, with candidates speaking on economic, social and environmental issues, followed by a 30 minute Q&A session.

COVID-19 regulations limit the hall capacity to 135 persons, so the event will also feature a Zoom connection. You must register in advance if you wish to attend this meeting by Zoom:

Use this link to pre-register for the virtual session and you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Mandatory procedures for entering the Hall include masking, social distancing, hand sanitizing and contact tracing. No printed materials may be distributed inside the hall. The Almonte Community Coordinators has been a not-for-profit tradition since 1974, dedicated to serving the most vulnerable in their community through the revenue generated from their two stores: The Hub and Rebound.
