Leeds OPP investigating attempted murder

TOLEDO — Two people have been arrested and charged with serious offences, including attempted murder, following an OPP operation in Kitley.

On Thursday, Nov. 20, 2025, members of the Leeds County OPP Crime Unit executed a warrant at a home on Kitley Line 3. They were assisted by the Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Community Street Crime Units, Forensic Identification Unit, Lanark County Crime Unit, and Leeds OPP officers. The warrant was related to firearms offences.

Both individuals were remanded into custody. Police say further details cannot be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation, and that there is no risk to public safety.
