The first candidates have filed nomination papers for Beckwith Township’s municipal election on Oct. 26, but no one has yet entered the race for reeve.
Incumbent Deputy Reeve Brian Dowdall is currently the only candidate seeking the deputy reeve position.
Three candidates have filed for council, including Tim Campbell, and incumbents Kerri Nicholson-Watson and Erin Rose. Reeve Richard Kidd has not filed nomination papers, nor have incumbent councillors Sharon Mousseau and Richard Brennan.
Will long-term Reeve Richard Kidd throw his hat in the ring?
Nomination papers may be filed until 2 p.m. Aug. 21. Election day is Oct. 26.
