Lanark County OPP charge Cobden resident in Mississippi Mills

Impaired driving investigation began after off-duty officer raised concern

MISSISSIPPI MILLS — The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Coben resident with impaired driving.

On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, an off-duty OPP officer observed a possible impaired driver on County Road 29 in Mississippi Mills Township. Officers attended the area and the driver was arrested and transported to the OPP Detachment in Carleton Place for testing.

As a result of the investigation, Heather DICK, 65-years-old, has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, March 16, 2026.

The individual’s driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days (Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension), and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
