The Ontario Provincial Police East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has charged four people following a drug trafficking investigation in Lanark County.
CSCU officers began investigating suspected cocaine trafficking from a residence and a vehicle in Lanark County in the spring of 2026.
On Friday, July 3, 2026, CSCU officers, assisted by OPP Canine, the Emergency Response Team, the Lanark County Crime Unit, the Regional Intelligence Unit and Lanark County OPP officers, executed a search warrant at a residence shortly after 6:15 a.m. Officers also stopped a vehicle on Highway 7 shortly after 8 a.m. Four people were arrested after officers found suspected cocaine, cash and items consistent with drug trafficking.
As a result of the investigation:
Tamika Crabtree, 27, of Mississippi Mills, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — cocaine
Robert Cummings, 51, of Mississippi Mills Township, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — cocaine
Christopher Strickley, 44, of Mississippi Mills Township, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — cocaine
Kayla Plant, 34, of Mississippi Mills Township, was charged with:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — cocaine
Cummings and Strickley were held in custody, then released following a bail hearing. They are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, July 27, 2026.
Crabtree and Plant were released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.
