Disturbance results in multiple charges

CARLETON PLACE – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges following a disturbance in Carleton Place.

Lanark County OPP officers responded to an incident on Friday, August 1, 2025, just after 6:30 a.m., after a complaint about an individual punching windows at a local business. The male was located and arrested by officers.

As a result of the investigation Dustin AMOS, 27-years-old from Carleton Place, has been charged with:

  • Causing a disturbance
  • Possession of Schedule 1 substance – methamphetamine
  • Fail to comply with probation – three counts

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on Monday, September 8, 2025.
