On Wednesday, February 4, 2026, members of the CSCU, assisted by the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, executed a search warrant at a motel on Highway 43. Two people were arrested without incident.

Officers seized more than 167 grams of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected crack cocaine. They also seized over $5000 in cash, nearly 20 cannisters of bear spray, a spiked bat and items typically associated with drug trafficking.

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – two counts
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
