Drummond North Elmsley releases 2025 pay and expenses for council and boards

Salaries, mileage and board payments detailed in Drummond North Elmsley council pay report

DRUMMOND NORTH ELMSLEY — The Township of Drummond North Elmsley has released its annual statement showing how much council members and appointed board members were paid in salary, per diems, mileage and other expenses in 2025.

The disclosure is required under Section 284 of the Municipal Act and must be reported to council by March 31 each year.

According to the township’s statement, Reeve Steve Fournier was paid $33,225.66 in salary, along with $1,689.11 in mileage and other expenses, for a total of $34,914.77.

Deputy Reeve John Matheson was paid $23,469.18 in salary and $390.78 in mileage and other expenses, for a total of $23,859.96.

Coun. Paul Coutts received $20,090.46 in salary and $2,214.64 in mileage and other expenses, for a total of $22,305.10.

Coun. Ray Scissons received $20,090.46 in salary, $225 in per diems, and $2,250.81 in mileage and other expenses, for a total of $22,566.27.

Coun. Paul Kehoe received $20,090.46 in salary and $525 in per diems, for a total of $20,615.46.

The statement also lists remuneration paid to appointees on local boards.

On the library board, Ted Parkinson received $300, and Lillian Logan received $600.

On the committee of adjustment, Sean Kennedy received $300 plus $66.56 in mileage for a total of $366.56. Karl Grenke received $525.

The township noted that some payments are made directly by outside agencies.

Rideau Valley Conservation Authority paid Fournier $935 in per diems and $725.76 in expenses for a total of $1,660.76.

Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority paid Kehoe $1,929.02 in per diems and expenses.

Township staff said remuneration and travel expenses are included in annual budgets.
