4 candidates are running for 2 Drummond Ward seats, while 3 seek 2 seats in North Elmsley
Scott Cameron and Paul Kehoe are running for reeve in the Township of Drummond/North Elmsley following the close of nominations for the 2026 municipal election.
Kehoe filed his nomination papers on May 1, the first day of the nomination period, while Cameron entered the race on Aug. 17.
Four candidates are seeking the two councillor positions in Drummond Ward.
Chris Evans, Eric Bjergso, Heather McIntosh and John Matheson have filed nomination papers. Evans was the latest candidate to enter the race, filing on Aug. 18.
Three candidates are running for the two North Elmsley Ward councillor positions: Vincent Carroll, Paul Coutts and Ray Scissons.
Candidates have also filed for three school-board trustee races.
Elizabeth Stienberg is running for the Upper Canada District School Board, while Jennifer Cooney is seeking the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario seat.
Anab Yussuf Mohamed and Patrick Robert are running for the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario.
The candidate list remains unofficial. The clerk is expected to examine and certify the nominations by Monday, Aug. 24.
The municipal election will be held Oct. 26.
