Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church has announced the appointment of Joachim Chisanga as its new lead pastor. He will officially take on the role Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.
Chisanga, originally from Zambia, has ministry experience in Africa and Canada. His ministry journey includes leading Impact Gospel Outreach in Francistown and Lobatse, Botswana.
After moving to Canada, he served at Vancouver Celebration Christian Fellowship in Surrey, B.C., and most recently was a pastor at Claresholm Pentecostal Assembly in Claresholm, Alta.
Chisanga, his wife, Nancy, and the two youngest of their four children are preparing to move to Eastern Ontario.
“My family and I are incredibly honoured to call Perth our new home,” Chisanga said. “From Zambia to Alberta, my passion has always been building vibrant, welcoming spaces where people can connect deeply with God and their neighbours. We look forward to listening to, learning from, and serving the wonderful people of Perth.”
According to the church, Chisanga has experience providing pastoral and collaborative leadership, with an emphasis on biblical teaching and cross-cultural ministry.
The church is inviting the public to Chisanga’s welcome service Sunday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at 160 Wayside Dr. in Perth.
