Featuring WWE & WCW legends Haku and the Barbarian

Great North Wrestling will kick off 2020 with its ‘Annihilation’ event at Smith Falls’ Gallipeau Centre Theatre on Saturday, February 29 at 7:30 pm.  Headlining the event will be a highly-anticipated grudge match between the team of Tongan behemoths Haku and The Barbarian versus Puerto Rican Superstar The Blood Hunter and 2 Cold Scorpio, also known as Flash Funk.

Haku (also known as King Haku, King Tonga, and Meng) had a long career in the WWE where he was one half of World Tag Team Champions with Andre the Giant. The Barbarian is best known for his tag team stints in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), WWE as part of The Powers of Pain with The Warlord and in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) with the Faces of Fear with Haku/Meng.

The Blood Hunter debuted in GNW in 2019 and roughed up Haku at a recent event in Petawawa. This set up a return tag team match at Haku’s demand, and The Blood Hunter chose 2 Cold Scorpio, a formidable veteran of the squared circle who has held the ECW World Tag Team Championship, ECW World Television Championship and WCW World Tag Team Championship.

In other action, the new Women’s Champion of Canada, Jessika Black who has held the title for over a year will have her toughest defence to date against women’s sensation LuFisto who has wrestled worldwide and defeated many top male wrestlers as well as females!

Advance tickets for the 8 match card start at just $15.50 for children and $20.50 for adults on sale now at the Gallipeau Centre Theatre or online through Ticketpro.ca. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the show for an extra $5.00. Visit TheHannibalTV.com for more event details!
