Carleton Place events

Mississippi Mudds Hadestown: Teen Edition
Saturday, Feb. 21, 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Town Hall auditorium. This teen edition is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s international phenomenon Hadestown, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences. 

Cold Process Soap Making Workshop

Sunday, Feb. 22, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Place Collective, 155 Industrial Ave. You’ll learn the foundations of cold process bar soap using locally sourced rendered pork lard, an abundant and traditional ingredient that creates a gentle, moisturizing bar. Perth Ontario events

Pony Treks at Willow Creek Stables
Saturday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. Pony Treks return to Willow Creek Stables just outside Perth. Enjoy a guided one-hour walk with critically endangered Newfoundland Ponies; $30 per person, booking required. 

Tribute to the Eagles
Saturday, Feb. 21, 8 p.m. Los Desperados at Farrell Hall, 186 Gore St., advance tickets $39 at Tickets Please or $44 at the door. 

Smiths Falls events

Fish and Chips Night
Friday, Feb. 20, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 10 Main St. Dine in, or take-out available; $15 per one-piece meal. Extra fish, $10. Pre-order after 3 p.m. on Friday, 613-283-2101.

Olympics Watch Party
Saturday, Feb. 21, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club, 13 Old Slys Road; $5 entry. 

Euchre Night

Toledo events

Wing Night
Friday, Feb. 20, Toledo Royal Canadian Legion. Call 613-275-2400 to order or to reserve a table. The phone is answered at noon. 

Cornhole Tournament
Saturday, Feb. 21, Eastern Ontario Cornhole League, tournament doors open at 8 a.m. Play starts at 9 a.m. This is for singles and bring your own partner doubles, at the Royal Canadian Legion, Toledo. 

Westport events

Sunday Funday Chicken Pickin’
Sunday, Feb. 22, 1 to 4 p.m. at The Cove Inn. Long-time Wings ‘n Tunes frontman Shawn McCullough and his band, including brother Dave “Fave” McCullough on bass and vocals and drummer Tom Uhryniw, will be playing all the favourites. Support local causes with the 50/50 draw.
