Skate with your OPP
Saturday, Feb. 7, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. a
t the Carleton Junction Community Pad, 42 Moore St. Skate with the police for the first hour, then play hockey with them the second hour. Light refreshments provided. Bring a non-perishable donation to support the food bank. 

Parents and Tots Family Valentine’s Dance
Sunday, Feb. 8, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. is for parents and tots, and the family dance follows. Happening at the Carleton Place Arena and is free of charge. 

Rideau Lakes events

Puzzle Race
Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m. to noon at the Elgin Hall. Register at rlpl.ca as an individual or a team. Hosted by the Rideau Lakes Public Library. 

D&D at the Newboro branch of the Rideau Lakes Public Library
Saturday, Feb. 7, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.,
for participants ages 11 to 18 years.

Saturday, Feb. 7, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Open House at the Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club, 13 Old Slys Road, $5 entry.

Tarot Readings
Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum, 11 Old Slys Road; $20 cash for 30-minute reading. Email or call to book a time slot: sfheritagehouse@gmail.com, 613-283-6311.

‘80s Dance Party with DJ Johnny Five
Saturday, Feb. 7, 8 p.m. at the Lombardy Agricultural Hall; tickets are $10, and this is a 19+ event. 

Olympics Watch Party
Sunday, Feb. 8, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Curling and Squash Club, 13 Old Slys Road; $5 entry. This family event will feature crafts, Bingo, family curling and more. 

Westport events

Chicken Pickin’ Matinee Band
Sunday, Feb. 8, 2 to 4 p.m. Live at The Cove Inn, listen to some good old country music.
