Celtfest
Friday, July 3 from 5 to 10 p.m., Saturday, July 4 from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday, July 5 from noon to 6 p.m. at Gemmill Park, 182 Bridge St. Celebrate Celtic music, dance and culture with live performances, food vendors and family-friendly activities throughout the weekend.
Carleton Place events
Carleton Place Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at the Carleton Place Farmers’ Market in Market Square on Beckwith Street. The outdoor market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features local produce, meats, baked goods, maple products, flowers, artisan goods, and handmade crafts throughout the summer season. Kids Fishing Derby
Saturday, July 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with lunch and prizes at noon. The free family event includes prizes for all children, a hot dog lunch and a free derby cap for the first 140 kids to register. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Crafternoon Kids
Sunday, July 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at A Bunch of Whimsy, 142 Bridge St. Children and families are invited to drop in for a creative afternoon of crafts. Admission is pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $5. Parental participation is encouraged.
Park Party at Miller’s Crossing Park
Sunday, July 5 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Miller’s Crossing Park, 56 Fanning St. Enjoy an afternoon of family-friendly activities, live performances, refreshments and community fun.
Kemptville events
Kemptville Farmers’ Market
Sundays, the Kemptville Farmer’s Market is held at 200 Sanders St. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market features local produce, baked goods, handmade products and community vendors throughout the season.
McDonald’s Corners events
McDonald’s Corners Agricultural Society Farmers Market
Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall, 194 Cameron’s Rd. The farmers market runs every Sunday and features local vendors and products.
Merrickville events
Outerbridge Magic: Mysteries of the Keyhole House
Saturday, July 4 at 2 p.m. at The Pews, 100 St. Lawrence St. Experience an afternoon of mystery and illusion with acclaimed magician Ted Outerbridge.
Sunday Matinee featuring James Brand

Perth Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at Perth Farmers Market in the Tay Basin at Crystal Palace, 31 Basin Ln., Perth. The outdoor market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the season and features local produce, baking, meats, preserves, artisan goods, crafts and live music. Port Elmsley Drive-In
Friday, July 3; Saturday, July 4; and Sunday, July 5 at the Port Elmsley Drive-In, 333 Port Elmsley Rd. Toy Story 5 screens at 9:10 p.m., followed by Obsession (14A). Gates and the grill open at 7:30 p.m.
Rideau Ferry events
Bake Sale
Saturday, July 4 beginning at 9 a.m. at Bethel United Church, 1500 Rideau Ferry Rd. Homemade baked goods will be available until sold out.
Rideau Lakes events
Crosby Flea Market
Saturdays in Crosby from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning May 18. Located at the intersection of Highways 15 and 42 between Smiths Falls and Kingston, the Crosby Flea Market features baked goods, preserves, jewelry, maple syrup, antiques, household and garage sale items, crafts, toys, books, movies and more. A food stand is also on site, with locally grown vegetables to be added as they come into season.
Crosby G. Varley Gallery
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 12 Narrows Lock Rd., Crosby. The gallery features original oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings.
Crosby Stevenson Farms
Located at 360 Narrows Lock Rd., about two kilometres north of Crosby, past the Varley Art Gallery. Stevenson Farms offers locally raised lamb produced through an ethical farming system with no herbicides, pesticides or steroids. Products are sold frozen and packaged at the farm. Organic vegetables are also available in season.
Newboro events
Oils for Life Workshop
Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily at Stone Manor Studios, 11 New St. Artist Kathy McNenly leads a three-day oil painting workshop for beginners and experienced artists. Registration is $499.
Smiths Falls events
Thursday Night Cruise-In
Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Settlers Ridge Centre parking lot, 275 Brockville St. The weekly cruise night welcomes car enthusiasts and spectators alike, with the public invited to come out and view a variety of classic and specialty vehicles.
Upper Canada Champions for Kids 19th Annual Golf Tournament
Friday, July 3 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club, 125 Golf Club Rd. The annual tournament raises funds in support of children and youth in the region.
Smiths Falls By the Rideau Market
Friday, July 3 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Lower Reach Park, Old Slys Rd. Browse local produce, artisans and vendors at the weekly waterfront market.
Kids & Cops Fishing Day
Sunday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at Lower Reach Park. Young anglers are invited to spend the day fishing alongside local police officers during this free family event.
Toledo events
Sunday Country Dance featuring Hallman & Hoffman
Sunday, July 5 at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475, 320 County Rd. 8, Toledo. Doors open at 1 p.m., dancing runs from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by a full-course dinner at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

Jeff Callery Live at The Cove
