Carleton Place Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at the Carleton Place Farmers’ Market in Market Square on Beckwith Street. The outdoor market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features local produce, meats, baked goods, maple products, flowers, artisan goods, and handmade crafts throughout the summer season. Jammin’ at the Junction
Thursday, July 30, 6:30 p.m. at Carleton Junction, 42 Moore St. Enjoy a free outdoor performance by Caleb and Mia Marshall. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for an evening of live music.
Goodwood Country Music Festival
Friday, July 31, 6 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 1, 11 a.m.; Sunday, Aug. 2, 11 a.m. at Beckwith Park, 1319 Beckwith 9th Line. The three-day festival features a lineup of country music performers, food vendors and family fun. Admission is $25 Friday, $35 Saturday and $20 Sunday, or $70 for a weekend pass.
Kemptville events
Kemptville Farmers’ Market
Sundays, the Kemptville Farmers’ Market is held at 200 Sanders St. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market features local produce, baked goods, handmade products and community vendors throughout the season.
McDonald’s Corners events
McDonald’s Corners Agricultural Society Farmers Market
Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall, 194 Cameron’s Rd. The farmers market runs every Sunday and features local vendors and products.
Mississippi Mills events
Almonte Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at the Almonte Farmers’ Market beside the Almonte library at 155 High St. The outdoor market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with local produce, baking, meats, maple products, flowers, artisan goods and handmade items throughout the season. Perth Ontario events
Perth Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at Perth Farmers Market in the Tay Basin at Crystal Palace, 31 Basin Ln., Perth. The outdoor market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the season and features local produce, baking, meats, preserves, artisan goods, crafts and live music. The 2026 season runs Saturdays to Thanksgiving weekend, with additional Harvest and Christmas markets planned later in the year. More information is available through Perth Farmers Market
Port Elmsley events
Port Elmsley Drive-In
The Port Elmsley Drive-In, 333 Port Elmsley Rd., has a full weekend of movies planned. Gates and the grill open at 7:30 p.m. nightly. On Thursday, July 30, showtime is 9:10 p.m. with Minions & Monsters (PG) and Disclosure Day (PG). Admission is $15 for ages 13 and older, $6 for children five to 12, or $30 for carload night. On Friday, July 31, showtime is 8:50 p.m. with Spider-Man: Brand New Day (PG) and Backrooms (14A). On Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2, enjoy a triple feature of Spider-Man: Brand New Day (PG), Stand By Me (1985, GP) and Backrooms (14A), beginning at 8:50 p.m. Admission those nights is $16 for adults and $6 for children five to 12.
Rideau Lakes events
Crosby Flea Market
Saturdays in Crosby from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning May 18. Located at the intersection of Highways 15 and 42 between Smiths Falls and Kingston, the Crosby Flea Market features baked goods, preserves, jewelry, maple syrup, antiques, household and garage sale items, crafts, toys, books, movies and more. A food stand is also on site, with locally grown vegetables to be added as they come into season.
Crosby G. Varley Gallery
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 12 Narrows Lock Rd., Crosby. The gallery features original oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings.
Crosby Stevenson Farms
Located at 360 Narrows Lock Rd., about two kilometres north of Crosby, past the Varley Art Gallery. Stevenson Farms offers locally raised lamb produced through an ethical farming system with no herbicides, pesticides or steroids. Products are sold frozen and packaged at the farm. Organic vegetables are also available in season.
160th Lombardy Fair
Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2 at the Lombardy Agricultural Society, 6 Kelly’s Rd. Celebrate 160 years of fair tradition with livestock shows, exhibits, midway rides, entertainment and a beer garden. Admission is $10 per day, with children nine and under admitted free. Weekend passes are $20.
Smiths Falls events
Smiths Falls Thursday Night Cruise-In
Thursday, July 30, 5:30 to 8 p.m. in the Settlers Ridge Centre parking lot, 275 Brockville St. Weather permitting, the public is invited to browse a collection of classic and custom vehicles.
Movies Under the Stars – Zootopia 2
Thursday, July 30, 7 p.m. at Centennial Park beneath the water tower. Pre-show entertainment begins at 7 p.m. with Pixie Pie Face Painting and the Smiths Falls Public Library. The movie begins at dusk. Admission is free, with donations appreciated. Weather permitting.
Bake Sale at Movies Under the Stars
Thursday, July 30, 7 to 10 p.m. at Centennial Park. Pick up a sweet treat while supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lanark County during the outdoor movie.
Veterans Breakfast
Friday, July 31, 10 a.m. to noon at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95, 7 Main St. E. Open to active and retired military members, RCMP members and their families. Legion membership is not required. RSVP, if possible, to rcl95vso@gmail.com.
Smiths Falls By the Rideau Market
Friday, July 31, 3 to 7 p.m. at Lower Reach Park, Old Slys Rd. The weekly market continues every Friday through Oct. 2 under new management and at its new location.
Wing Night at the Pav
Friday, July 31, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kinsmen Pavilion, Lower Reach Park. Enjoy one pound of wings with fries and garnish for $17. Takeout is available.
Let’s Roll!
Friday, July 31, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Youth Arena, 71A Lansdowne St. Roller skating returns for all ages. Admission is $2. Bring your own roller skates. Helmets are required for those 18 and under and recommended for everyone.
Summer Train Rides
Sunday, Aug. 2, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, 90 William St. W. Ride in a historic caboose, explore the museum and enjoy an afternoon of railway history. Tickets are $16 and include museum admission. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Toledo events
Rideau Rods Rides Car Club Show & Shine
Sunday, Aug. 2, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475, 320 County Rd. 8. Spectator admission is free as classic vehicles from across the region gather for the annual show.
Westport events
Westport Market
Saturdays at 38 Concession St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The open-air outdoor market runs every Saturday from July 4 to Sept. 5 and features local vendors, artisans and seasonal products throughout the summer.
Live Music at The Cove Inn
Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, Aug. 2 at The Cove Inn, 2 Bedford St. Live music takes to the waterside stage all weekend with David James Allen & The Growing Machine on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m., King of the Swingers on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. ($10), Jeff Callery on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m., and Head over Heels on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
