It’s Father’s Day weekend. Go fishing! Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21. Ontario’s Father’s Day free fishing weekend allows residents and visitors to fish without purchasing a fishing licence. It’s a great opportunity to spend time outdoors on local lakes, rivers and waterways with family.

Carleton Place events
Carleton Place Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at the Carleton Place Farmers’ Market in Market Square on Beckwith Street. The outdoor market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and features local produce, meats, baked goods, maple products, flowers, artisan goods, and handmade crafts throughout the summer season. Carleton Place Beer Festival
Friday, June 19, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Market Square, 7 Beckwith St. The 2026 Carleton Place Beer Festival features craft breweries, food vendors and live entertainment. Admission includes a reusable tasting glass. This is a 19-plus event.
Mini & Me Crafting: Mini Pallet Coaster
Saturday, June 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at A Bunch of Whimsy. Participants can create a take-home craft and card for a special someone. Registration is required and supplies are limited.
Park Party at Centennial Park
Sunday, June 21, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Centennial Park, 169 Joseph St. Join the community for an afternoon of activities, performances, refreshments and family fun. Admission is free.
Kemptville events
Kemptville Farmers’ Market
Sundays, the Kemptville Farmer’s Market is held at 200 Sanders St. from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The market features local produce, baked goods, handmade products and community vendors throughout the season.
McDonald’s Corners events
McDonald’s Corners Agricultural Society Farmers Market
Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall, 194 Cameron’s Rd. The farmers market runs every Sunday and features local vendors and products.
Merrickville events
Merrickville Country Market
Saturday, June 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Merrickville Community Centre, 106 Read St. The market features local makers, bakers, specialty foods, artisan goods, antiques and more.
Sunday Matinee Showcase with Conor Veinotte
Sunday, June 21, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Pews, 100 St. Lawrence St. Enjoy an afternoon performance by Conor Veinotte. Admission is pay what you can at the door. Bar service will be available.

Almonte Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at the Almonte Farmers’ Market beside the Almonte library at 155 High St. The outdoor market runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with local produce, baking, meats, maple products, flowers, artisan goods and handmade items throughout the season. Perth Farmers’ Market
Saturdays at Perth Farmers Market in the Tay Basin at Crystal Palace, 31 Basin Ln., Perth. The outdoor market runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the season and features local produce, baking, meats, preserves, artisan goods, crafts and live music. The 2026 season runs Saturdays to Thanksgiving weekend, with additional Harvest and Christmas markets planned later in the year. More information is available through Perth Farmers Market.
Port Elmsley events
Port Elmsley Drive-In
Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20 at the Port Elmsley Drive-In Theatre, 333 Port Elmsley Rd. The double feature includes Toy Story 5, followed by The Sheep Detectives. Gates and grill open at 7:30 p.m. Showtime is 9:10 p.m. Friday and 8:45 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $15 for ages 13 and older and $6 for children aged five to 12.
Rideau Lakes events
Crosby Flea Market
Saturdays in Crosby from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning May 18. Located at the intersection of Highways 15 and 42 between Smiths Falls and Kingston, the Crosby Flea Market features baked goods, preserves, jewelry, maple syrup, antiques, household and garage sale items, crafts, toys, books, movies and more. A food stand is also on site, with locally grown vegetables to be added as they come into season.
Crosby G. Varley Gallery
Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 12 Narrows Lock Rd., Crosby. The gallery features original oil, watercolour and acrylic paintings.
Crosby Stevenson Farms
Located at 360 Narrows Lock Rd., about two kilometres north of Crosby, past the Varley Art Gallery. Stevenson Farms offers locally raised lamb produced through an ethical farming system with no herbicides, pesticides or steroids. Products are sold frozen and packaged at the farm. Organic vegetables are also available in season.
Smiths Falls events
Thursday Night Cruise-In
Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Settlers Ridge Centre parking lot, 275 Brockville St. The weekly cruise night welcomes car enthusiasts and spectators alike, with the public invited to come out and view a variety of classic and specialty vehicles.
Smiths Falls By The Rideau Market
Fridays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Lower Reach Park on Old Slys Rd. The market continues every Friday until Oct. 2 and is operating under new management at a new location.
Wing Night at the Kinsmen Pavilion
Friday, June 19, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kinsmen Pavilion, Lower Reach Park. Wings and fries are $17. Takeout is available and the venue is LCBO licensed. Hosted by the Smiths Falls Kinsmen Club.
The Foursome
Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at 7:30 p.m., with a Sunday matinee on June 21 at 2 p.m. at the Station Theatre, 53 Victoria Ave. Norm Foster’s comedy follows four middle-aged men navigating friendship, golf and life’s unexpected turns. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for students and children.
Open Singles Dart Tournament
Friday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95, 7 Main St. E. Registration is $10 per player.
Father’s Day Supper and Live Auction

PCW Falls and Glory
Saturday, June 20, at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Community Centre, 71 Cornelia St. Professional Championship Wrestling returns with an evening of live wrestling action. Tickets range from $15 to $25.
Rideau Paddlefest
Saturday, June 20, all day at Lower Reach Park on Old Slys Rd. This family-friendly event celebrates the history and culture of the Rideau River with canoe races, live entertainment, exhibitors, paddling demonstrations, children’s activities, a canoe tug-of-war, face painting, storytelling and more.
Father’s Day Train Rides at RMEO
Sunday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, 90 William St. W. Tickets are $15 plus fees and taxes and include general admission. Children age two and under ride free when seated on a guardian’s lap. The day includes train rides, a WWII military vehicle display, vintage cars, vendors, yard games, a silent auction and the Strongman Caboose Pull beginning at approximately 12:30 p.m.

Sunday, June 21, at 1 p.m. at the Railway Museum of Eastern Ontario, 90 William St. W. Tea packages are available for two or three guests. Advance tickets are available through Eventbrite.
Westport events
3rd Annual Bob Scott Walk
Friday, June 19, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Westport Arena, 37 Spring St. Registration opens at 5:30 p.m., with the walk beginning at 6 p.m. Hosted by Friends of the Arena (FOTA), the annual event raises funds to support the revitalization of the Westport Arena. Food and refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Saturdays at the Westport Market
Saturdays at the Westport Market, 38 Concession St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The open-air outdoor market runs every Saturday from May 16 to Aug. 29 and features local vendors, artisans and seasonal products throughout the summer.
Chris Murphy Live at The Cove
Friday, June 19, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Cove Country Inn. East Coast folk favourite Chris Murphy performs an evening of live music on the waterfront.
