Books, board games and puzzles
Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Zion Memorial Church. Spring fundraising sale of delicious baked goods, new-to-you books, board games and puzzles just in time for Easter.  Craft time for the kids while you shop. Located at 37 Franklin St. 

Cold Process Soap Making
Saturday, March 28, 1 to 4 p.m. at the Carleton Place Collective, 155 Industrial Ave. This is a small-group, hands-on soap-making experience rooted in care, simplicity, and traditional practice.

Broadway Showstoppers
Saturday, March 28, 7:30 to 10 p.m. and Sunday, March 29, 2 to 5 p.m. Broadway Showstoppers is a musical theatre lover’s dream, bringing together dozens of talented singers in a choral revue celebrating some of Broadway’s most iconic songs from the past century. Located at 175 Bridge St., at the Town Hall Auditorium.

Merrickville events

Mini Music Makers
Saturday, March 28, 10:30 a.m. start, Merrickville Library. Sing and play along with rhythm and percussion instruments. This is a free interactive event perfect for children ages 2 to 5. Contact the library to register: merrickville_library@bellnet.ca.

Montague events

Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Saturday, March 28, 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Rosedale Hall, 657 Rosedale Rd. Facepainting, balloon artist, crafts and more. Pancake breakfast, for kids 12 and under, $5, adults $7. 

Pakenham events

The Keepers Exotic Animal Show
Saturday, March 28, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Stewart Community Centre, 112 MacFarlane St. This is a fun and educational event for all ages. There is a $2 admission fee. 

Perth Ontario events

Pipes, Drums and Dancers
Saturday, March 28, 2:30 p.m. at the PDCI Auditorium, 13 Victoria St., Oakfield Park presents An Afternoon of Pipes, Fiddles, Jigs and Reels featuring: The World-Renowned Royal Canadian Mounted Police Pipes, Drums and Dancers with special guests the Oakfield Players and the Celtic band Shabraque. 

Smiths Falls events

Open Singles Dart Tournament
Friday, March 27, 9:30 a.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, Smiths Falls – Entry: $10. Cricket format. Register 6 to 6:45 p.m. 

Rookie Rocks
Saturday, March 28, 9 a.m. Smiths Falls Curling & Squash Club, 13 Old Slys Rd. The cost is $35 per person/$140 per team + HST. Inaugural event. 

Seedy Sunday
Sunday, March 29, 1 to 3 p.m. at the  Royal Canadian Legion, Smiths Falls, 7 Main St. E. – Share your excess seeds and pick up something new. Kid’s Corner. Hosted by Smiths Falls Horticultural Society

Westport events

Young Petty Stones Fundraiser
Saturday, March 28, 7 to 11 p.m.
at The Cove Inn. It’s a Musical Nod to Neil Young, Tom Petty and The Rolling Stones. $90 Buffet Dinner, Show + His Fight is My Fight Event Charity, all funds go to the Leukemia Ward at The Kingston Cancer Centre through University Hospitals Kingston Foundation.

Soulfire: A Sunday Matinee Party
Sunday, March 29, 1 to 4 p.m.
at The Cove Inn. Enjoy a matinee holiday show of Pop Blues, R&B and a Touch of Funky Soul.
