Youth Centre Book Sale
Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Anderson’s Your Independent Grocer. 

Soap Making Workshop
Saturday, March 14, noon until 2:30 p.m. Carleton Place Collective, 155 Industrial Ave. Get ready to unleash your creativity and take home your very own handmade soaps.

March Break Fun
Three-day art camp starting March 16 for kids ages 12 and up. 

March Break Craft: I Spy a Leprechaun
Tuesday, March 17, 3 to 4:30 p.m., Carleton Place Public Library, 101 Beckwith St. Kids can get creative with a St. Patrick’s themed craft activity during March Break.

Mississippi Mills events

Adventure Camps
Tuesday, March 17, register for March Break fun for kids at the Mill of Kintail. There are camps on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and you can get more info here. Activities will include: snowshoeing (or hiking), campfires, scavenger hunts, survival skills, animal tracking, and more. Information on topics such as cold water awareness, ice safety, and watershed stewardship. For kids ages six to 12. 

Perth Ontario events

St. Paddy’s Day Party
Saturday, March 14, 7 p.m. start. Civitan Club of Perth, 6787 County Rd 43. Dance the night away with DJ Riley Restoule, photo booth, late evening light lunch. Advance tickets $20 or $25 at the door.

Card, Comic and Collectible Show
Saturday, March 14, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. it’s Kernel Mustard’s Card, Comic and Collectible Show at Code’s Mill (upstairs) located at 17 Wilson St. E. Door prize tickets given out to the first 100 people through the door. This is the Ottawa Valley’s Ultimate Collectors’ Event! There will be 50+ vendors, trade zone, games and prizes, art alley, exotic snacks, all ages welcome. Follow Kernel Mustard’s Emporium on Facebook for updates. 

March Break Camp
March 13 to 20: Pick a day or the whole week. Shaw’s Dance presents their Kids’ March Break Camp. Includes outdoor play, creative arts and crafts, mini dance classes, games and a movie. (Dance includes jazz, ballet, highland and hip hop). Register at danceatshaws@gmail.com. Runs Tuesday through Friday starting at 8 a.m.

Makers’ Camp
Spaces are still available for the Perth Museum’s March Break Makers’ Camp with three jam-packed days of creativity, curiosity and hands-on history for kids ages seven to 11! March 17, 18, 19, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily. Contact the Perth Museum

Rideau Lakes events

Kitchen Party at the St. Columbanus Hall
Sunday, March 15, 2 to 4 p.m. Informal, friendly, family fun. Free entry, and open mic.

March 16 to 20: Looking for some fun things for the kids during March Break? Check out the events happening at the Rideau Lakes Public Library branches. 

Smiths Falls events

Craft and Artisan Market
Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Royal Canadian Legion, 10 Main St. It’s the spring break event where you can shop for products you won’t find in big box stores. Wide variety, support local. 

Magic Show
Saturday, March 14, 2 p.m. Michael Conway Magic at the Smiths Falls Community Theatre, 53 Victoria Ave. Tickets: Adults: $28.25; Youth/Senior: $16.95 at ticketsplease.ca 

March Break Fun at the Library
From March 16 to 20, visit the Smiths Falls Library for a week of fun and games, movies, Pokemon action, STEM fun, and much more. Visit the library website for details. 

Camp Days at Heritage House Museum
On March 19 and 20, the Heritage House Museum will host two days of camp fun. Themes are St. Patrick’s Day on March 19 and Mad Scientist on March 20. Camp registration is $40 per day, per child or $70 for both days. Follow the link to register, or drop by the museum. 

Westport events

Live at The Cove with Jeff Callery
Saturday, March 14, 5 to 8 p.m.
Jeff has been playing music for more than half his life. He hit the road young playing with his band in bars, fairs, festivals and theaters across Ontario. Enjoy his music live at The Cove Saturday. 

Sundays with Eric and Meghan
Sunday, March 15, 5 to 8 p.m. Visit The Cove Inn every Sunday to hear Meghan Balogh and Eric Uren as they play their ethereal acoustic folk sounds of fiddle and guitar.
