Neighbours in Bloom Craft Show
Sunday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Centennial Hall, 152 Church St., Franktown, discover a variety of crafts and handmade goods from local creators.

Frankville events

Red Dress Day Event at AOG Gallery
Saturday, May 2 at AOG Gallery, 47 Leacock Rd. in Frankville, join a community gathering to commemorate Red Dress Day, honouring Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit people. The event offers a space for reflection, awareness and community connection through art and shared remembrance. 

Mississippi Mills events

Mississippi Mills 2026 Tree Seedling Giveaway
Saturday, May 2, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Public Works Garage, 3131 Old Perth Rd., pick up free bare-root tree seedlings as part of Arbour Week celebrations. Quantities are limited and available on a first-come basis, with a maximum per household. Bring a bag or box to transport your seedlings and help grow a greener community. 

Mississippi Valley Textile Museum Vernissage: Carole Baillargeon
Saturday, May 2, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, celebrate the opening of two new exhibitions, including “Carole Baillargeon: Rock Paper Scissors” and “Tartan: Culture & Cloth.” Meet the artists and explore contemporary textile works and cultural history in a welcoming gallery setting. Admission is by donation. 

ADHS Presents Shattered: Time in Pieces
Friday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, May 2 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, May 3 at 4 p.m. at the Almonte Old Town Hall, catch this original student-written production by Almonte District High School. The story follows four museum employees who are sent through time after encountering a mysterious artifact, blending history, myth and imagination on stage. Tickets are $15.

Mother’s Day Market
Saturday, May 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Crystal Palace, 31 Basin Ln., Perth, shop indoor and outdoor vendors offering a range of gifts, crafts and local products.

Smiths Falls events

Fish & Chips Night at the Legion
Friday, May 1, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Smiths Falls, 7 Main St. E., enjoy dine-in or takeout fish and chips with one piece for $15 and extra fish for $10. Pre-order after 3 p.m. by calling 613-283-2101.

Mother’s Day Craft and Artisan Market
Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Smiths Falls, 7 Main St. E., browse handmade goods and gifts from local artisans just in time for Mother’s Day.

Red Dirt Skinners
Saturday, May 2, 7:30 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Community Theatre, 53 Victoria Ave., enjoy a live performance from the Red Dirt Skinners. Tickets are $39.50 online.

Bingo
Sunday, May 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Smiths Falls Civitan Club, 12468 Hwy. 15 N., enjoy an afternoon of bingo. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and a canteen will be available. For more information, email infosmithsfallscivitanclub@gmail.com.

Shoreline Cleanup
Saturday, May 2 at 10 a.m. at the Bascule Bridge and 1 p.m. at the Jasper Road boat launch, join a community-wide shoreline cleanup as part of Pitch-In Smiths Falls. Work individually or in groups to collect litter, with bags available from the REAL Deal Store, 85 William St. W. Participants can submit a follow-up survey for a chance to win prizes. Pre-register at PitchInSF@REALaction.ca.

Toledo events

Sunday Country Dance featuring The Continentals
Sunday, May 3, doors open at 1 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475 Toledo, 320 County Rd. 8, enjoy dancing from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a full-course dinner at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person.

Westport events

Sunday Funday at The Cove
Sunday, May 3, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at The Cove Inn, 2 Bedford St., Westport, enjoy a laid-back afternoon of live country and roots music featuring the Sunday Funday Chicken Pickin’ Matinee Band. Expect local talent, special guests and a 50/50 draw supporting community causes. Voluntary cover.
