Lanark County OPP have charged a Tay Valley Township resident with impaired driving after a vehicle was found in a ditch.
Police received a report of a possible impaired driver near Allans Side Road and Scotch Line in Tay Valley Township on Aug. 13.
Officers located the vehicle in a ditch shortly after 9:30 p.m. After speaking with the driver, police arrested him and took him to the OPP detachment in Perth for testing.
Jordan Burnie, 40, has been charged with operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and operation while impaired — alcohol.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Burnie was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Sept. 28.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
