A 39-year-old Carleton Place resident is facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a possible impaired driver Saturday night.
Lanark County OPP said officers responded to a complaint about a possible impaired driver in the area of Arthur Street in Carleton Place shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 1. Officers located the vehicle, arrested the driver and transported him to the OPP detachment in Carleton Place for testing.
Kyle Hudson, 39, has been charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol or drug
- Failure or refusal to comply with a breath demand
- Failure to comply with an undertaking
Police said Hudson was held in custody for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth at a later date.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days under Ontario’s Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension program, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
