Think Inside the Box for local gifts this Christmas

Miller reported to Town Council that the Picnic Smiths Falls program, a collaboration between the town and various restaurant partners, was very well received, and a new branding partnership is planned for the winter season. Smiths Falls branded Merry and Bright boxes will be available at local retailers, stuffed with a gift, local information, and of course items supplied by the retail partners. This initiative, like Picnic Smiths Falls, aims to encourage citizens to shop local this Christmas.

Along that same line, Miller also reported that the Chamber of Commerce has launched a local subscription box, filled with handpicked local surprises. In the first 15 days of the launch, 74 subscriptions were sold. Information on this subscription box is available on the website, sflocal.ca.
