The Lanark County Harvest Festival will return to Beckwith Park on Sunday, Sept. 13, highlighting the region’s farmers, food producers, artisans and rural traditions.

The free festival will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the park, located at 1319 9th Line in Beckwith Township.

Visitors will be able to shop for locally produced goods, meet farmers and food producers and learn more about agriculture in Lanark County. The event will also feature food vendors, agricultural displays, cooking demonstrations, exhibits and activities for all ages.

Lanark County Warden Richard Kidd described the festival as one of the county’s signature fall events.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to meet local producers, learn about agriculture in our region and enjoy a day filled with great food, family activities and community spirit,” Kidd said. “We encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the harvest with us.”

The annual festival gives local producers an opportunity to connect directly with customers while promoting local agriculture and sustainable food-based businesses. It typically attracts hundreds of residents and visitors.
