Lanark County OPP have charged an Ottawa man after a vehicle was driven into the porch of an Almonte home Sunday evening.
Police responded to the collision on Martin Street South in Mississippi Mills just before 7 p.m. on Aug. 17. OPP said the driver was seen fleeing the scene on foot.
Before officers arrived, police received a second call about a man near the hospital who was allegedly attempting to access another vehicle before again fleeing on foot.
Officers located and arrested the man a short distance away. Police said they determined he was the driver involved in the earlier collision.
The man was taken to hospital with minor injuries sustained in the collision.
Nathan Oram, 25, of Ottawa, has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault and mischief under $5,000.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Oram was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Nov. 16.
