Appreciation Night highlights long-standing businesses in Mississippi Mills

MISSISSIPPI MILLS — The Municipality of Mississippi Mills shined a light on long-time contributors to the local economy on November 6 during the 2026 Long-Standing Business Appreciation Night at Almonte Old Town Hall.

Small business owners celebrating milestones of 10, 25, 35 and over 65 years of service in the community were recognized for their dedication and impact. Each honouree received a certificate and pin from members of Council, followed by a dessert buffet featuring sweet and savoury treats purchased from local businesses. 

“Mississippi Mills is proud to be home to a rich legacy of thriving small businesses,” said Mayor Christa Lowry. “Their creativity, dedication and investment strengthen our local economy and enrich the fabric of our Municipality.”
