11 candidates are seeking 4 ward council seats in the 2026 municipal election
Deputy Mayor Anne Barr is challenging incumbent Mayor Michael Cameron for the mayor’s chair in Merrickville-Wolford.
Six candidates are running for the two Merrickville Ward council seats.
The candidates are David Delcorde, James Wardhaugh, incumbent Coun. Margaret Gural, Mary-Catherine Fraser, Michael Barr and Tony Iannazzo.
Five candidates are seeking the two Wolford Ward positions.
Cindy Hanna, Gina Jelmini, Kait Brady, Ryan Salter and incumbent Coun. Stephen Ireland have filed nomination papers.
Current Wolford Ward Coun. Ronnie Maitland is not among the candidates seeking election.
The municipal election will be held Oct. 26. Merrickville-Wolford council consists of the mayor, two Merrickville Ward councillors and two Wolford Ward councillors. The official list is expected on Monday, Aug. 24.
