Deputy reeve is contested, while five candidates seek three councillor positions
Karen Jennings is expected to return as reeve of Montague Township after becoming the only candidate to file for the position.
Jennings, the incumbent reeve, is expected to be elected by acclamation, subject to certification by the municipal clerk.
Incumbent Deputy Reeve Jeffrey Carroll is being challenged by Patrick “Pat” Dolan.
All three sitting councillors are seeking re-election.
Jim Abbass, Gerald Crabtree and Trevor Johnson are running for another term. They are joined in the five-candidate race by David Marion and Bonnie Leach.
