Congratulations to the 2023 Fibrefest Raffle Winners!

The 28th Annual Fibrefest was a phenomenal success! Well over 1500 people visited the festival throughout the early September weekend, and Almonte’s summer tourism season closed with a bang. As part of a fundraiser for the Mississippi Valley Textile Museum, a raffle with three prizes was held. The results are in, and the Fibrefest Raffle of 2023 winners are Barb Sheldrick, Meg McCallum, and Bonnie Schnittker! Congratulations to the lucky winners, and thank you to all who participated.

Winning the first prize, Barb Sheldrick picked up a beautiful coverlet and gift cards to Ottawa restaurant, Chez Lucien.

Meg McCallum won the second prize and took home a set of pillows made from a coverlet and gift cards to Chez Lucien.

As the third prize winner, Bonnie Schnittker is now the happy owner of a white blanket, basket, and a one-on-one workshop session with Shelagh Ryan.

The Mississippi Valley Textile Museum is already looking forward to the 29th Annual Fibrefest in September 2024! Mark your calendars for September 7 and 8 next year.

“Fibrefest is always such an amazing event for our community and the Museum, but the raffle adds just that bit more excitement for visitors, as well. We’re glad that we’ve been able to offer such quality prizes, and we look forward to offering high value items and experiences for next year’s raffle!”
