Early literacy provides a strong foundation for success in school and beyond, and we are pleased to support the creative programming offered by our in local libraries. Over the past week, members of CFUW’s Education, Literacy and the Arts Committee presented cheques for $500 to the Almonte Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library, the Carleton Place Public Library, the Lanark Highlands Public Library, the Perth and District Union Library, the Rideau Lakes Public Library, and the Smiths Falls Public Library.

Amanda Robinson, CEO/Librarian at the Lanark Highlands Public Library said she “would like to emphasize that we are so grateful for the support you have shown us over the past several years despite the challenges you have faced in your fundraising endeavors.” She joined the other librarians and children’s programmers for the help we provide to young readers.
