Brockville’s “Killer Bee” stings in international kickboxing debut

SUBMITTED

Brockville’s Kristina “Killer Bee” Mabry made a resounding international kickboxing debut in a showcase of Canada vs U.S.A. by securing a decisive victory over Emilee Dallas of New York.

The former Miss Brockville pageant queen, now a fierce competitor, adapted seamlessly to the inclusion of knee strikes in her first K-1 style bout, earning a unanimous decision with dominant performances in all three rounds.

“This was my best performance,” Mabry declared, attributing her success to rigorous training across four schools and a surge in confidence.

The reigning Ontario Kickboxing and Brampton Cup Boxing Champion trains out of Legends Boxing Academy and Canadian Black Belt Centres. However, she is representing Thousand Islands Warriors for this bout and has also expanded her training to include Southpaw Boxing Club as she prepares for the coveted Canadian Kickboxing Champion title fight in Toronto next month.

“Kristina has peaked as an athlete, and finding sparring partners is difficult,” said Head Coach Mark Johnson. “Her success is a testament to the local combat schools coming together as a community to help her.”

Mabry is also currently attending mandatory training camps with Team Canada Kickboxing, with her sights set on a World Champion title bout in Abu Dhabi this coming November.
