Fatal single motorcycle collision in Lanark Highlands

LANARK HIGHLANDS, ON – The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle in Lanark Highlands.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2025, officers responded to a report of a collision on Pine Grove Road, between Concession Road 8A and Giles Road.

Upon arrival, officers identified a motorcycle and its lone rider, a 66-year-old male from Carleton Place. Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the male was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information or dashcam footage that may assist investigators is asked to contact Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at ontariocrimestoppers.ca.
