“Do what you can” to Pitch In, Smiths Falls!

On Monday evening, during the town council meeting in Smiths Falls, Councilor Dawn Quinn encouraged everyone to remember to Pitch in, Smiths Falls! The annual clean-up is underway now until April 29. Pitch In bags are available at the REAL Store on Abbott Street, and, once filled, can be left on the roadside for collection by the town.

Councilor Quinn encouraged residents to think small if the project seems daunting. “Please don’t feel like you have to fill up a giant garbage bag; just go out with a small bag and do what you can, so we can all get the town looking nice and clean again.”

April 29 will be a day of shoreline cleanup, with contests and group activities for those who wish to participate in such. Cleaning up – alone or with a crew – can be as simple as you make it.

For those interested, more information is available, along with bags, at the REAL Store.
