Ribfest scheduled for June 23 – 25 at Lower Reach

During Monday night’s council meeting in Smiths Falls, Councilor Stephen Robinson updated town council on this year’s Ribfest.

This year, Ribfest will be held June 23 to 25, at Lower Reach Park. There will be plenty of live music (Councilor Robinson mentioned Ambush and the Continentals, for example), activities for kids, and even nine-hole mini-putt available on Sunday (June 25).

Ribfest is still seeking some signage sponsorships: stage signs cost $750; gate signs cost $500.

They have also put out a call to local service clubs to see if there is any interest in participating in the rib festival.

Last year, the inaugural Smiths Falls Ribfest was held in the parking lot at the Settler’s Ridge mall. Eager crowds lined up each day for a plate of smoky barbecue goodness.
