Smiths Falls Police execute search warrant, arrest two

Early morning police operation – Drugs seized and two persons charged

SUBMITTED

The Smiths Falls Police Service lead by members of the SFPS Crime Unit, Brockville Police Service and the OPP Regional Intelligence Unit collaborated on the execution of a CDSA (Controlled Drug and Substances Act) search warrant. The police operation took place at a Main St. East residence early this morning. As a result of the CDSA search warrant two subjects were charged and arrested at the scene.

50 year old female Sherry JARVIS of Smiths Falls stands charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (x 3) and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x 1). The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

40 year old male Jessie PETERS of Smiths Falls stands charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficl<ing (x 3)1 possession of property obtained by crime under $5000 (x 1) and failing to comply with their probation order (x 1). The accused was also held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Investigating officers located and seized the following as part of the CDSA warrant:

  • 50 grams of powder cocaine
  • 25 grams of crack cocaine
  • 6 grams of methamphetamine (speed)
  • $420.00 in U.S. currency
  • $900.00 in Canadian currency

The Smiths Falls Police Service would lil<e to thank the public for their patience during the operation as well as the Brocl<ville Police Service and the OPP Regional Intelligence Unit for their collaboration on this investigation.

The charges in these matters have not been proven in court.
