The Town of Perth has ended the State of Emergency that was declared for the COVID-19 pandemic on April 7, 2020. The removal of the Town’s State of Emergency falls in line with
the ending of the Ontario State of Emergency this week.
Mayor John Fenik stated, “While all the health measures around the COVID-19 pandemic remain in place, it is time to move cautiously into the recovery phase. Everyone must continue to wear masks in public indoor places, follow social distancing guidelines and wash their hands regularly.”
The decision to end the State of Emergency was made by the Mayor in consultation with Town Staff and local Health officials on July 31, 2020.
