The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating after a body was located near Pakenham.

On November 12, 2023, shortly after 12:00 p.m. officers received a report of a female being found in a body water near Pakenham. The identity of the individual is not yet known, and no further information can be released at this time.

Members of the Lanark County Detachment, The Lanark County Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
