At Perth Council’s committee of the whole meeting on Tuesday, Oct 12th, the topic of the rocky ramp project came up yet again. This time, Grant Machan, the town’s director of environmental services was recommending that the town turn down the latest bid to modify both sides of the structures. The town received only one submission from AWD Contractors for a total price of $279K. The 2021 budget identified $100K for the proposed modifications. Mayor John Fenik wondered if the work could be completed in-house by town staff and asked that they report back at a future meeting.

The committee approved rejecting the bid.
