During the Committee of the Whole meeting in Smiths Falls on Monday night, CAO Malcolm Morris welcomed Kerry Costello back to the role of Town Clerk. CAO Morris also introduced Stephanie Clark, Smiths Falls’ new Director of Community Services.

Councilor Jennifer Miller, who chaired the meeting, welcomed Director Clark.

Clark gave a brief personal introduction. “I’m coming from Iqaluit, Nunavut, where I’ve spent the last eight years. I’m very excited to be in the south, excited to be near trees and water and not a lot of snow,” she said with a laugh.

Clark said she appreciates the welcome she has received in Smiths Falls. “Everyone has been just wonderful and welcoming. I’m looking forward to tackling upcoming challenges and making this the best possible place for us all to live. I appreciate the very warm welcome from my colleagues, and I’m looking forward to working with you all.”

Director Clark joins the crew of both familiar and new faces in Smiths Falls town hall. Treasurer / Director of Corporate Services Myra Baumann was recently hired to replace the space left vacant by former Treasurer Janet Koziel.

Welcome to Smiths Falls!
