A 41-year-old Rideau Lakes man has been charged with robbery following a dispute at a residence in the Township of Rideau Lakes.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Following an investigation by the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, the man was charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Assault cause bodily harm — choke, suffocate or strangle
- Theft under $5,000
- Driving while under suspension
In order to protect the identity of the victim, the identity of the accused cannot be released.
The accused was held in custody. Police said he was scheduled to appear for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville on Friday, Sept. 25.
