OPP investigators lay 16 charges against Leeds County resident

43-year-old charged with sexual-related offences against a person under 16 years of age

LEEDS COUNTY — An individual was arrested and charged with sexual-related offences after a victim came forward to police.

On Thursday, December 11, 2025, members of the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Leeds County Crime Unit began an investigation after having received information regarding several offences against a young person.

As a result of the investigation, 43-year-old Michael NADZIPOV of Leeds County has been charged with the following offences:

  • Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
  • Sexual assault
  • Forcible confinement
  • Sexual exploitation
  • Sexual interference
  • Indecent exposure to a person under 16 years of age
  • Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
  • Luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication
  • Communicate with anyone under 18 years of age for purpose of obtaining sexual services
  • Make sexually explicit material available to a person under 16 years of age
  • Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm
  • Intimidation
  • Procuring under 18 years of age
  • Criminal harassment – repeatedly communicate
  • Failure to comply with undertaking
  • Obstruct justice

The accused was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brockville at a later date.
