SFPS make multiple arrests, including bail breach and assault charges

Breach investigation results in two arrests

On February 10th 2025, members of the Smiths Falls Police were sent to a residence to investigate a possible breach of bail conditions. The conditions were issued by the courts in relation to allegations of animal neglect.

As a result of the investigation two subjects were arrested. 62 year old male Thomas HARPER of Kingston was charged with failing to comply with their release order (x 2). The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

57 year old female, Rosemarie KNIGHT of Kingston was also charged for failing to comply with their release order (x 1). The accused was later released with conditions The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Wanted male arrested

On February 10th 2025, a wanted male attended the police station to surrender himself on outstanding charges.

32 Year old male, Travis LUCIER of Smiths Falls had a warrant for assault with a weapon (x 1) and mischief (x 1) as a result of an earlier road rage incident.

The accused was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.

Arrest made on outstanding warrants

On February 12th front line members of the Smiths Falls Police were on patrol of the downtown area when a wanted male was observed. Officers affected the arrest without incident.

35 year old male, Justin LLOYD stands charged with failing to comply with their probation order (x 2) and theft under $5000 (x 1) relating to an earlier shoplifting incident. The accused was later released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
