Smile Cookies are back—helping fund health care and fight hunger in Carleton Place

100% of Smiles Cookie proceeds from Carleton Place Tim Hortons will support the CPDMH Foundation and The Hunger Stop from April 28 to May 4

Tim Hortons’ beloved Smile Cookie campaign returns to local stores April 28 to May 4, with 100% of proceeds from the Carleton Place locations supporting two vital local organizations: the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) Foundation and The Hunger Stop Lanark County Food Bank.

Giving Back One Cookie at a Time

The annual campaign invites community members to purchase hand-decorated chocolate chunk cookies for $2.00 each, with every dollar going directly to these local causes. Last year’s campaign raised an impressive $41,000 for our communities, and organizers are hoping to match or surpass that total during this year’s campaign. The CPDMH Foundation will use funds for the purchase of vital patient care equipment that is not otherwise funded by our provincial government, while The Hunger Stop will continue its mission supporting individuals and families throughout Lanark County.

“This year’s Smile Cookie campaign provides a simple but powerful way for our community to make a difference,” says Lisa Peters and Scot Moore, owners of Tim Hortons in Carleton Place. “We’re incredibly proud of how our community rallied last year to raise over $41,000, and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish together this time around. It’s truly about giving back one cookie at a time.”

The iconic cookies feature Tim Hortons’ Chocolate Chunk Cookies hand decorated by community volunteers, with pink and blue icing to create a smile—”a cookie that makes you grin from ear to ear.”

Customers can support the campaign by visiting your local Tim Hortons restaurants or by placing orders through the Tims app for delivery. Bulk orders are encouraged for businesses, schools, and organizations through pre-order forms available at local restaurants.

Last year, Tim Hortons guests helped raise nearly $18.8 million nationwide during the Smile Cookie campaign. Since its launch in 1996, more than $129 million has been raised across Canada and the U.S., supporting hundreds of local charities and community groups.

“The Smile Cookie campaign brings our community together in the sweetest way possible,” says Robyn Arseneau, Executive Director of the CPDMH Foundation. “The energy and enthusiasm we see each year is absolutely heartwarming. Every cookie truly makes a difference for patient care at our hospital.” Tammy Parent, Manager for The Hunger Stop, adds, “One cookie might seem small, but together they create a wave of support that nourishes our entire community. Since the food bank relies entirely on public donations, the funds from this campaign will cover our milk bill for six months, ensuring that the 1,900 people we serve each month continue to receive this essential item.”
