Smiths Falls Bears shutout win strengthens their lead in the Robinson Division

SMITHS FALLS — Sunday afternoon games tend to be a quieter affair in the stands, but that can be misleading. The action on the ice is just as intense as ever—if not more so. The Smiths Falls Bears welcomed the Brockville Braves into the Den this past Sunday and treated fans to a formidable spectacle, culminating in a 4–0 win.

The first period saw no scoring from either team.

Davis Hails, assisted by Carter Beauchesne and Jackson Heron, finally broke the ice at 9:46 of the second period. Less than a minute later, Tyson Parker added a power-play marker at 10:40, with helpers from Hails and Jacob Smith.

Marching on into the third, the Bears kept the momentum going. D.J. Ott struck just 24 seconds into the period, with assists going to Jack Paquette and Kade Hockenhull. Jonathan Dudziak sealed the deal with the final goal at 18:23, assisted by Lucas Cameron and Hockenhull.

Smiths Falls outshot Brockville 39–33 and was rewarded with a 4–0 shutout victory.

Bears goaltender Rafael Tremblay earned first star honours. Second star went to Davis Hails, while Braves goalie Nate Galbraith claimed third.

With the win, the Bears sit at 28 points—holding a comfortable five-point lead atop the Robinson Division. Overall, they remain in third place, with Cornwall just one point behind.
