Smiths Falls Celebration of Lights to light up for the 2022 festive season

Kick off the festive season in Smiths Falls with the Celebration of Lights starting Saturday December 3rd at Centennial Park by the water tower. The Celebration of Lights will once again offer a magical holiday experience in Smiths Falls with a stroll through the thousands of holiday light displays alongside the Rideau Canal.

This year’s celebration of Lights will include thirteen Christmas trees that have been generously sponsored by thirteen local businesses/organizations with all the proceeds going to the Salvation Army to assist local families in need this Christmas season. The Town of Smiths Falls would like to acknowledge and appreciate the following organizations for the tree sponsorships:

“The Celebration of lights has always been a favourite for the community and visitors to mark the holiday season and enjoy the beauty of the lights in Smiths Falls,” said Julia Crowder, the manager of Economic Development and Tourism. “We encourage everyone to stop by Centennial Park and experience this festive local wonder”.
The Celebration of lights will light up on Saturday December 3rd at approximately 5:30 p.m. and remain lit all through to January 7th.
