Smiths Falls to host Job and Volunteer Fair April 23

The Town of Smiths Falls, in partnership with ontrac Employment Services, the  Smiths Falls District Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Advisory Centre, and the Downtown  Smiths Falls Business Association, is pleased to invite local residents to the Job and Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, April 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Youth Arena, 71A Lansdowne Street.

This community-driven event is designed to connect job seekers and prospective volunteers with  local employers, organizations, and service groups. Whether you’re looking to take the next step in  your career, get involved in meaningful volunteer opportunities, or simply explore what’s available in  Smiths Falls and the surrounding area, this fair is the place to start. 

“We’re excited to bring together a range of community partners to support employment and  volunteerism,” said Julia Crowder, Manager of Economic Development & Tourism. “This fair is an  excellent opportunity for residents of all ages to make valuable connections and explore the  possibilities right here in our community.” 

Dozens of area employers along with 8 trainers/educators and 12 volunteer organizations from a  variety of sectors will be on hand to meet with attendees, share information, and accept applications  on-site. Bring your resume and come prepared to network!
