Greg Hull has become the first candidate to file nomination papers for one of six council seats in the Smiths Falls municipal election on Oct. 26.
Hull joins mayoral candidates Nate Morris and Christopher Cummings, who have already entered the race for mayor.
Nomination papers may be filed until 2 p.m. Aug. 21. The Town of Smiths Falls is maintaining an unofficial list of candidates as nominations are received. The official list of certified candidates will be released after the close of nominations.
Election day is Oct. 26.
