Arrests across Smiths Falls include IPV, weapons violations and probation breaches

Smiths Falls police investigate assaults and traffic offences, Wanted person surrenders

Wanted person surrenders an outstanding warrant

On December 16th, 2025 a person wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant attended the Smiths Falls Police Station to surrender themselves. The charges were a result of a November 28th, 2025 threats investigation.

35 year old, Natalina SOREENTI of Nepean stands charged with uttering threats (x2). The accused was later released from custody with conditions and a scheduled court date.

Intimate Partner Violence investigation leads to seizure of firearms

On December 18th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received a 9-1-1 call for a disturbance in progress inside a residence. Members of the Smiths Falls Police responded to the scene to commence the investigation. One person was taken into custody at the scene without further incident. Additionally, five firearms and one prohibited firearm were seized at the scene as part of the investigation.

As a result of the investigation, a 29 year old male from Smiths Falls stands charged with uttering threats (x1), failing to comply with their probation order (x2), breach of firearms regulation (x1), unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm (x1) and knowledge of unauthorized possession of weapon (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

Bail violation investigation leads to additional mischief charge

On December 19th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police were called to a local motel to investigate a possible breach of a bail release order. Members of the Smiths Falls Police responded to the scene to commence the investigation. The subject was taken into custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, 43 year old Tyler WARK of Smiths Falls stands charged with failing to comply with their release order (x2) and failing to comply with their probation order (x1). Additionally, the accused caused damage to the Smiths Falls Police Station cell block and was subsequently charged with mischief under $5000 (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

Accused returned to jail after GPS monitoring violation

On December 20th, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received information of a GPS monitoring violation from a subject who was on a conditional sentence order. An investigation was commenced and it was confirmed that the subject was violating their condition of house arrest. Members of the Smiths Falls Police were able to locate the subject and place them in custody without incident.

As a result of the investigation, 63 year old, Howard DICKSON of Smiths Falls stands accused of breaching their conditional sentence order. The accused was held in custody for a bail court appearance.

9-1-1 call at a hotel leads to IPV arrest

On December 21st, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received a 9-1-1 call from hotel staff alerting of an intimate partner violence dispute in progress. Members of the Smiths Falls Police responded immediately to the scene to commence the investigation. One subject was arrested at the scene.

As a result of the investigation, a 25 year old male from Brockville stands charged with assault-spousal (x1), uttering threats (x1), resist peace officer (x1) and failing to comply with their probation order (x2). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

Traffic stop leads to arrest

On December 21st, 2025 a member of the Smiths Falls Police on a proactive patrol initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. As the traffic investigation commenced, the driver was found to be on conditions, which prohibited them from driving a motor vehicle. The driver was arrested at the scene without incident and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

As a result of the investigation, 37 year old Kaleb MOORE stands criminally charged with failing to comply with their undertaking (x1) and operation while prohibited (x1). The accused was later released with conditions and a scheduled court date.

One arrest made in assault investigation

On December 21st, 2025 Smiths Falls Police received information of an assault that took place earlier in the day at the Victoria Street pedestrian underpass. Members of the Smith Falls Police commenced an investigation into the assault.

One suspect was quickly identified in the assault and just happened to have been arrested earlier in the day by SFPS on an unrelated probation warrant. That suspect was informed of their new charges from the assault investigation.

49 year old, Allan PILON of Smiths Falls stands charged with aggravated assault (x1) and failing to comply with their probation order (x1). The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing.

The investigation into the assault is continuing as officers continue to identify the additional suspects involved.

The charges in these matters have not been proven in court.
