Arrest Warrant To Be Issued For Wanted Individual

CENTRAL FRONTENAC TWP. — A stolen boat motor has been recovered after the rightful owner spotted it for sale online.

The motor, with several hundred dollars, was stolen in July from a cottage on Shabomeka Lake in North Frontenac Township.

On Sunday, August 3, 2025, the owner spotted the motor on an online marketplace site and contacted the Frontenac Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, members of the Frontenac OPP, along with members of the OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Arden. Due to safety concerns related to the resident at this location, the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and Canine Unit were also present.

The stolen motor was located, but the individual believed responsible for its theft and attempted sale was not. An arrest warrant will be requested.
