Holiday Smile Cookies bring cheer to the Food Bank

Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign is back Nov. 17 to 23

This year’s Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign in Almonte and Carleton Place will once again support the Lanark County Food Bank – The Hunger Stop.

“The food bank operates entirely on donations, and we are in awe of how the community steps up time and time again,” said Tammy Parent, LCFB manager. “Tim Hortons continues to choose us, and their generosity is making a huge difference in the support we can offer to our ever-increasing client base.”

From Nov. 17 to 23, you can share some holiday magic through the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign. Cookies are $2 each, with half the proceeds supporting the food bank. The remaining 50 per cent goes to another worthy cause, the Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.

Plan to pick up a Smile Cookie or preorder by filling out a form and dropping it off at any Tim Hortons location in Almonte or Carleton Place at least 48 hours in advance. This helps local staff prepare and co-ordinate all orders.

The Lanark County Food Bank feeds more than 1,800 people each month, 40 per cent of whom are children. Clients come from a 770-square-kilometre area stretching from White Lake to Franktown, and Ashton to Innisville, including Almonte, Pakenham, Carleton Place, Clayton, and the Township of Beckwith.
